1. Custom Layout
At Wilsonian Press your manuscript remains fully in your control. Our Classic Interior bespoke book layout service does not require you to hand over your original text. Instead, we can create your unique interior layout as a Canva template using placeholder text. You then replace the placeholder text with your manuscript, page by page, once the design has been finalised.
For authors who prefer a more streamlined process, we can, with your explicit permission, use your original manuscript during the design stage. This is often the most efficient option, particularly if your book contains multiple images, illustrations or tables. Replacing placeholder text can be fiddly and time-consuming, so providing your manuscript allows us to make sure everything is placed correctly the first time.
In every case, your privacy and peace of mind come first. Both you and Wilsonian Press will sign a contract confirming that data protection and manuscript security are our highest priority. Once your interior layout is complete, all versions of your manuscript are permanently deleted from our systems.
Every layout we create is bespoke. We never reuse designs for our bespoke clients, so your interior template will be original to your book and tailored to your vision.

5. Visual Enhancements
Your book’s visual elements deserve the same attention to quality and detail as the text. If your book includes illustrations, photographs, tables or graphics, we integrate them thoughtfully for clarity and impact. To ensure excellent print results, all images supplied by you should be high resolution — at least 300 DPI at final layout size. This is the industry standard for print clarity and specifically required by platforms such as Amazon KDP.
We take care of photo editing, including cropping, colour correction and resizing, to make sure every image is placed seamlessly within your book. For images containing fine detail or text, a higher resolution (up to 400 DPI) may be advisable for the sharpest results.
If you do not have your own images, we can source high-quality stock photography, illustrations or graphics on your behalf. Licensing costs vary depending on how many images are used and these will be confirmed during your consultation before any additional expense is agreed.
