We never request, receive or work directly with your manuscript. Instead, we use your completed Style Guide Workbook and our consultations to develop the right layout and visual direction for your book. We design your Canva template using placeholder text and images, which you replace with your own manuscript and content, page by page, in your own time. You remain in full control throughout and we are always available to guide you whenever you need help.

Every Classic Interior layout we create is bespoke. We never reuse designs for our bespoke clients, so your interior template will be original to your book and tailored to your vision.

2. Professional Typography

The right typography gives your book its voice on the page. We carefully select typefaces, font pairings and spacing that make your book clear, legible and enjoyable to read. Whether you want a modern feel, a traditional look or something in between, the typography will be chosen to suit both your book and your audience.

Your interior design will be optimised for major self-publishing platforms, including Amazon KDP and IngramSpark. We prepare files that meet the correct trim size, margins and bleed specifications so you can upload with confidence, knowing your book will meet industry requirements.

5. Visual Enhancements

Your book’s visual elements deserve the same attention to quality and detail as the text. If your book includes illustrations, photographs, tables or graphics, we integrate them thoughtfully for clarity and impact. To ensure excellent print results, all images supplied by you should be high resolution — at least 300 DPI at final layout size. This is the industry standard for print clarity and specifically required by platforms such as Amazon KDP.

We take care of photo editing, including cropping, colour correction and resizing, to make sure every image is placed seamlessly within your book. For images containing fine detail or text, a higher resolution (up to 400 DPI) may be advisable for the sharpest results.

If you do not have your own images, we can source high-quality stock photography, illustrations or graphics on your behalf. Licensing costs vary depending on how many images are used and these will be confirmed during your consultation before any additional expense is agreed.
