Journey into Space Children’s Book Cover Design
Children’s author Emily Roberts came to Wilsonian Press with a dream. She wanted a Journey into Space children’s book cover design that captured the wonder of exploration and the joy of imagination. Her book tells the story of a young boy who blasts into the cosmos and discovers the beauty of planets, stars and comets. Emily’s goal was to inspire children aged 7 to 11 with an adventure that would spark curiosity and delight.
Creating the Journey into Space Children’s Book Cover Design
Emily shared her vision for a cover that would be colourful, playful and timeless. She wanted parents to see it as a book of quality and children to see it as a doorway to adventure. She explained that her own love of astronomy began in childhood and she wanted that same awe to shine through. Her brief guided us to design a cover that was bold, joyful and professional.
The Wilsonian Press Method
At Wilsonian Press we put the author at the centre of the process. We worked closely with Emily to explore illustration styles, typography choices and layout ideas until every detail matched her vision. The final design shows a cheerful astronaut, a rocket ship and a star-filled sky. The typography is bright and playful which gives the book a strong sense of fun while keeping the overall look professional.
Delivering the Final Design
The result was a cover that both children and parents could love. Emily described the process of working with Wilsonian Press as inspiring and supportive. By following our method, we created a design that brings her story to life and gives young readers a reason to reach for the stars.
